The Concordia Documentary Center (CDC), a research centre that brings together an interdisciplinary network of researchers, teachers, students, documentary artists and archivists to foster scholarly research, conversation, networks, and creative activity within the field of documentary arts and media at Concordia, across Canada and internationally.

Our specific objectives include but are not limited to:

- research in both the theoretical and artistic fields
- pedagogical activities (such as master classes with distinguished documentarists)
- archival projects
- conferences, seminars, institutes
- lecture and screening series
- interventions in public debates about relevant policy and issues
- liaison with other documentary institutions and artists
- production/artistic support for Concordia-based documentarists in any medium
